Common questions
Straight answers about how we work, what we support, and how to get started.
Do you replace our entire IT department?
For many clients, we are the IT department: help desk, admin, and projects. For larger teams, we augment internal staff on cloud, security, or AI initiatives. We will tell you if we are not the right fit.
Do you prefer Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Neither. We support both with equal depth. We’ll recommend based on your tools, industry, and team preferences, not vendor incentives.
What does AI Consulting include?
We start from concrete workflows (for example invoice handling, proposal drafting, or finding internal information), then implement in Copilot, Gemini, or another fit tool with governance and training. Optional contracting covers build sprints. Tool inventory comes after the use case, not before.
Do you offer professional services without a retainer?
Yes. One-off projects, consulting hours, and vCIO-style advisory are available when you do not need full managed IT. We also offer personal technical support on a case-by-case basis when schedule and fit allow. See Professional services.
How does pricing work?
Quotes follow the work, not a published price list. User count, devices, cloud complexity, security and backup needs, and onsite time in St. Louis all affect the number. We’ll outline what’s included before you commit.
Are you month-to-month or under contract?
Managed services typically run on an agreement with clear scope. Project and AI work can be scoped as fixed sprints. We’ll outline terms before you commit.
Do you offer onsite visits?
Yes, for St. Louis-area clients when the work requires it. Much of day-to-day support is remote; office moves, Wi‑Fi, and hardware work often need onsite time.
Can you take over a messy setup?
Yes. Leftover vendors, mail that lands in spam, and no documentation are common. We map what you have, fix the root cause, and write it down.
Where is Level Up Tech located?
We’re based in St. Louis, Missouri. We do onsite work in the St. Louis area when needed, and provide remote support for cloud, security, and AI work nationwide. Reach us at (314) 884-0008 or help@leveluptech.org.
How do I search the site?
Use the magnifying-glass icon in the header (or press ⌘K / Ctrl+K) to open Ask Level Up. It answers from our published pages only. You can also open the full chat at Ask Level Up.
Do you support the apps and devices we already use?
Yes, when it is business IT. We typically support anything you already use, within reason. Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Meet), office Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, and printers are in scope for managed IT and professional services. St. Louis onsite is available when the job needs hands on hardware. This site is not an app or printer how-to; email help@leveluptech.org if something is blocking work. Consumer accounts such as Netflix or game stores are not a Level Up Tech service. Line-of-business apps (QuickBooks, Sage, and the like) we can often keep reachable and call the vendor with you.
How do we get started?
Email help@leveluptech.org or use the contact form. Tell us what’s broken or what you’re planning. We’ll suggest a practical next step, usually within one business day.
